Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how G&K Sons ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit gnksons.co, use our AI Wall Designer, or place an order. We have written it in plain language, because you should be able to understand exactly what happens with your data without a law degree.

1. What we collect

  • Contact and account details — your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address when you place an order or create an account. Sign-in is passwordless: we never ask you to create or store a password with us.
  • Order information — the products you buy, order value, delivery details, and GST details if you request a business invoice.
  • Payment information — processed entirely by Razorpay, an RBI-authorised, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net banking credentials.
  • Wall photos you upload to the AI Wall Designer — used to generate your preview. If you are signed in, your generated designs are saved to your account so you can return to them; as a guest, they are linked to an anonymous session identifier on your device.
  • Usage data — pages visited, products viewed, and shopping actions, collected through cookies and analytics (see section 4).
  • Communications — messages you send us over WhatsApp or email, including any photos you share for kit planning or claims.

2. How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping confirmations, and provide GST invoices
  • To generate and save your AI Wall Designer previews
  • To respond to your questions, plan panel kits for your wall, and handle return or refund claims
  • To improve our website, products, and the AI Wall Designer
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms & Conditions
  • To send you order-related emails; marketing emails are sent only if you have opted in, and every one includes an unsubscribe link

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Ever. Your wall photos are used only to generate your previews — they are never published or used in our marketing without your separate, explicit permission.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the store:

  • Shopify — our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store, your account, and order data
  • Razorpay — to process your payment securely
  • Courier partners — your name, address, and phone number, so your order can be delivered
  • Google — anonymised analytics (see section 4), and the AI service that renders your wall preview

Each of these providers processes your data under their own security and privacy obligations. We never give any third party access to your data for their own marketing.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are essential for the store to function — keeping your cart, your sign-in session, and your guest designer session working. We also use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (which pages are viewed, which products are popular). This data does not identify you personally. You can block cookies in your browser settings; essential store functions like the cart may stop working if you do.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Order and invoice records — retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law
  • Account data and saved designs — retained while your account is active; deleted on your request
  • Guest designer uploads — retained only as long as needed to serve your previews
  • Support conversations — retained as long as needed to resolve your query or claim

6. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data, including your account and saved designs (subject to legally required retention of order records)
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Raise a grievance about how your data is handled

7. Security

Your data is stored on Shopify's secured infrastructure. All traffic to gnksons.co is encrypted over HTTPS. Payments are handled end-to-end by Razorpay — card and banking details never touch our servers. Access to customer data is limited to what is needed to operate the store.

8. Children

gnksons.co is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered customers by email.
